Velocity was a contemporary residential development of 31 architect-designed townhouses located on the foreshore of Throsby Creek in Maryville. Each two-storey home featured three bedrooms, open-plan interiors, and modern kitchens designed as the heart of the home for family living and entertaining. Designed to support an active lifestyle, the development incorporated bicycle access, on-site cycle parking, and convenient connections to local cycleways. Situated within walking and cycling distance of Newcastle CBD, local shops, cafes, and Beaumont Street, Velocity offered low-maintenance, modern waterfront living. Recognised with the 2020 HIA-CSR Hunter Housing Award for Townhouse/Villa Over 5 Dwellings, the development combined contemporary design, inner-city convenience, and lifestyle-focused features.
